Book Drive for LeBonheur Children's Hospital 2014
The Creative Writing Department sponsored a book drive to collect new and gently used books for children and their parents in LeBonheur Children's Hospital. The original goal was to collect 300 books but Savannah Smith and Bailey Davis ended up collecting over 1000 books from April 7, 2014 to May 7, 2014. Mr. Lawson, Mr. Broadway, and Mr. Sizemore read "Green Eggs and Ham" that was happily lended to us by the economics teacher, Ms. Martin. They even read it in voices ... thanks to Mr. Broadway for the sound effects!

They joined hundreds of brave souls, including some local celebrities, at Mud Island River Park to take a dip into the Wolf River ... ok ... so it was at the mouth of the Wolf River, but when it is that cold in the water ... let's just say it was the Mississippi!
